O'Neill's Psycho Tech 5mm Split Toe Boot has been fitted out with a whole bunch of O'Neill's premium wetsuit features to give you a high-end boot that really performs. A 5mm boot means the conditions you're in are no joke, so neither should the materials used to make your booties be. That's why these boots are designed with TechnoButter 3 neoprene, a seriously flexible and supple neoprene that uses an Envy Foam core rubber (basically a neoprene with a whole lot of volume and not much cell wall for max stretch). So not only are you benefiting from the warmth of 5mm neoprene but your range of motion in the ankles isn't restricted by stiff neoprene for more responsive, natural feeling surfing.
They've also been kitted out with some other features you'd expect in a high-end wettie like TechnoButter firewall and TBX3 interior taped seams with a fluid seam weld on the exterior.
"That's a bit of a mouthful."
We agree. That's why we took the time to put together a to help you understand what all this mumbo-jumbo means. Basically, what you're reading means that water won't be penetrating the seams of these boots and that they've been reinforced to the max. Durable and watertight.
